Prompt Management
Introduction to BibGenie's built-in prompt management features and how to use them
Overview
BibGenie allows users to customize System Prompts and Quick Prompts to adapt to different use cases and improve workflow efficiency.
The Power of Prompts
Properly configured prompts help AI better understand your needs and generate more relevant responses. System prompts affect the global conversation style, while quick prompts target specific task scenarios.
System Prompt
System prompts are used to guide AI models in generating responses that meet user requirements. Unlike user-input prompts, system prompts take effect globally, while user-input prompts only apply to the current conversation.
A typical system prompt example:
Please always response in Chinese.Effect
When the above system prompt is set, the AI model will follow this instruction in every conversation, always responding in Chinese.
Quick Prompts
Quick prompts are preset prompts designed for specific task scenarios. Once enabled, they appear above the chat input box, and you can click to quickly add them to the conversation.
Pro Tip
Setting frequently used questions or tasks as quick prompts can significantly improve efficiency and avoid repeatedly typing the same instructions.
Example: Paper Translation Prompt
For paper translation tasks, you can set up the following quick prompt:
If a paper is provided and the target language is specified, directly translate it following the rules below. Otherwise, use this opening statement: "Please provide the paper you want to translate and specify the target language."
## Rules:
### Objective
Achieve precision translation of academic papers. You are not mechanically converting text; you are reconstructing the completeness and accuracy of academic expression across languages.
### Core Instructions
Please deeply understand the paper's content and follow these four interrelated core principles:
### Terminological Accuracy
Identify and correctly translate field-specific terminology and academic concepts, maintaining consistency and standardization of terms.
### Logical Coherence
Preserve the original argumentation logic, causal relationships, and paragraph transitions, ensuring the translated text maintains an intact academic reasoning chain.
### Register Adaptation
Adjust sentence structures and expressions according to the academic writing conventions of the target language, ensuring the translation conforms to that language's scholarly norms.
### Informational Completeness
Ensure all data, citations, figure captions, footnotes, and other academic elements are accurately conveyed.
### Translation Requirements
In completing the core instructions, adhere to the following two levels of standards:
1. Key Terminology Glossary
After completing the translation, separately list all core academic terms appearing in the paper with their translation equivalents (bilingual correspondence) to facilitate reader understanding and verification.
Format example:
+ Source Term → Target Term
+ Machine Learning → 机器学习
+ Hypothesis Testing → 假设检验
2. Final Dual Verification
Please additionally complete two quality checks:
- Academic Integrity Check: Confirm whether the translation maintains the original text's academic rigor, professionalism, and authority, and whether it conforms to the academic writing conventions of the target language.
- Readability Check: Confirm whether the translation flows naturally, avoids rigid word-for-word translation, and ensures that readers in the target language can smoothly understand the paper's core arguments and reasoning process. This prompt is specifically designed for academic paper translation, featuring:
- Terminological Accuracy - Ensures consistent and standardized translation of technical terms
- Logical Coherence - Maintains the original argumentation logic and causal relationships
- Register Adaptation - Conforms to the academic writing conventions of the target language
- Informational Completeness - Accurately conveys all academic elements
To use it, simply provide the paper content and specify the target language.
